How is a Child Account different from a regular account?

A

A Child Account is designed to be safe for children to use.
It differs from a regular Bandai Namco ID account in the following ways.

●No email address is required. Instead, a Child Account ID is assigned.
A Child Account uses a Child Account ID instead of an email address for login.
However, if an email address is provided, it will become the Child Account ID.
* After registration, it is also possible to login with social media account.

●A Child Account is required to be Linked to a parent or guardian’s account.
A Child Account can only be accessed if it is linked to a parent or guardian’s account.
The parent or guardian’s account is a regular Bandai Namco ID used to manage Child Accounts.

●Parental consent required to use the services.
When a Child Account attempts to use a new service, an approval request is sent to the parent or guardian’s account via email.
Once the parent or guardian approves the request and provides additional information (e.g., address), the Child Account can use the service.

* The additional information requirement varies depending on the service.

●Limited operations on settings page:
・Password
・Social media link
・Account deletion

* The parent or guardian is notified via email if the Child Account’s password is changed.
* A Child Account can cancel individual services on its own once authorized.
